While the first two years of the company were focused on laying the foundations
for future growth, 2014 served as a banner year for innovation and re-investments
in Hi-Flyer. We started renovating and upgrading our stores in Calgary and Edmonton,
in line with YUM's latest design templates! We also relaunched our Employee Development
and Rewards programs. Training and re-training of Operations leaders were conducted
across all markets to develop them as strategic, proactive, and creative business
managers. The Founder's Day held in October of 2014 aimed at giving the spotlight to
the Cooks through instant awards and recognition as Certified KFC cooks.
Recognition as a culture is embodied in STRIVE, a holistic personnel development,
incorporating the best practices in training, rewards and recognition, and people
development and engagement.
