Position Description

Our company is currently seeking a Site Superintendent to join our highly skilled team for a full time , contract and project base opportunity .

As the Site Superintendent, construction your day to day responsiblities of this contract role may include, but not be limited to :

Key Responsibilities for Construction Superintendent

• Coordinate scheduling of subcontractors, consultants, inspectors and vendors to complete each project on time
• Estimate cost , ensure the project is on budget and plan construction processes
• Procurement of equipment and materials needed in the project
• Monitor work and materials to ensure quality control standards are met at various stages of the project
• Communicate with the project team and support each subcontractor to execute job duties effectively and efficiently
• Supervise inhouse staff and provide constructive feedback and report project progress
• Perform inspections or schedule inspectors to meet the varying safety and compliance regulations of each job location
• Maintain a written daily log of visitors, job actions performed, materials expended, and problems resolved on the job site
• Travel between multiple job sites and simultaneously manage work loads of individual projects
• Identify and resolve problems and conflicts, organizing meetings and cooperating with team members in various roles as necessary
• Set an example in keeping the job seat organized and clean, including meeting standards for waste disposal and environmental protection
• Coordinate, direct and lead workers engaged in construction activities

• ·Must be able to plan, allocate resources, manage production and coordinate people and equipment.

• ·Must be able to read, understand and apply information obtained from blueprints, surveys and job specifications

• Conduct on-site safety orientation and maintain daily safety reports

• Other duties may be assigned by Manager 

Position Requirements

Qualifications and Skills for Construction Superintendent

• Basic knowledge of software programs, such as Master Builder, Microsoft Excel, Word, Google Chrome, and PowerPoint
• Ability to write reports and professional correspondence to vendors, government officials, and clients
• Excellent verbal communications skills, especially when addressing customers, clients or official visitors to the site.
• Keen eye to identify non-compliance with regulations or standards and ability to suggest solutions for deficiencies or problems
• Ability to stand for several hours at a time and to walk in varying climate conditions and on uneven ground
• Experience with managing demanding clients and offering creative solutions to meet commitments and requests
• Ability to lead and inspire
• Capacity to physically lift up to 50 lbs
• Flexible time when needed to make sure project is delivered on time
• WHMIS, working at heights certification 
•  Experience on hand/power tools and equipment operation (specifically lift equipment and forklift or telehandler)
• 2 to 5 years total experience related construction sites as labour, supervisor and site-supervisor, with a minimum 2 years supervision experience.
• .Project Management experience or exposure would be an asset
• Valid driver’s license and Willing to travel to different job site

We offer: 

salary : $27.00-32.00 per hour
